Housing in Doha

When you leave for expatriation, you need to find where you are going to live.

You can choose to live in Doha or outside, if you work on Ras Laffan, up north from Doha or Messaied, in the south. You can also choose to rent a villa or an apartment in a compound or a flat in a tower. All the housing come fully furnished, semi furnished or not furnished.

You will not find small apartments or villas. Each room, living room or kitchen is way larger than those we know in France! Most residences sell services like cleaning, meals, internet… And you will not need an appointment to visit one apartment or more in a residence. Just ask at the front desk and you will visit the show apartment.

You need to know that you will probably sign a lease for a one-year-contract or more and will have to pay in advance, by check, for each month or trimester. And that prices are very high and running up fast!

To have an idea, we recently moved in a two-bedroom apartment, 2 bathrooms, one guest toilet, fully furnished with modern furniture, fully equipped kitchen, 110 square meters. The lease is 20000 Riyals (3900 Euros), electricity and water excluded. The residence is closed and secured. It has a pool, a gym and a café. Here are some pictures taken from the residence website:
