Building sites
One of the first things i noticed about Doha and Qatar is the sand and the dust everywhere: in the streets and around the buildings, even within the houses.
On dust stormy days, it feels as if there were fog above the city. You cannot see very far, you can only see little swirls of sand here and there as you drive. People outside have to cover their head with scarf to avoid sand coming into their eyes or mouth.
Building sites
With all the building sites, it is even more dusty! The city is constantly rebuilt, new areas are created and buildings are coming through the ground. The West Bay area where i live, has changed in a very short time. Night and day, the building sites are busy.
